Baseball Recap: Manchester Find Success

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Manchester walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cosby Titans 11-10. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Titans two weeks ago, they had to take a 16-4 loss.

Manchester got a massive performance out of Easton Butts, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Butts a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Easton VanDyke, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

The win made it two in a row for Manchester and bumps their season record up to 19-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Cosby, they moved to 18-4 with that defeat, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Manchester nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
