Softball Recap: Wando Takes a Loss

Wando was the 3-1 winner over Cane Bay when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Wando fell just short of Cane Bay by a score of 7-6 on Monday. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cobras since on Monday.

Wando's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cane Bay, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wando will take on Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stratford has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.86 runs per game on average), something Wando will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cane Bay, they will square off against Goose Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Goose Creek has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.29 runs per game on average), something Cane Bay will no doubt try to take advantage of.
