Basketball Game Preview: Palm Beach Central Broncos vs. Boca Raton Bobcats

Palm Beach Central is 0-4 against Boca Raton since February of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Palm Beach Central Broncos will be taking part in a tournament against the Boca Raton Bobcats at 1:30 p.m.

Last Thursday, Palm Beach Central came up short against Palm Beach Gardens and fell 60-48. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Gators are ranked 77th).

The losing side was boosted by Izabelle Vilmont, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 17 points and five boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Triniti Crouse, who posted 13 points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Boca Raton faced off against Olympic Heights on Thursday. Boca Raton managed a 61-55 victory over Olympic Heights.

Palm Beach Central's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11. As for Boca Raton, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Palm Beach Central took a serious blow against Boca Raton in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 77-44. Can Palm Beach Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
