Basketball Recap: Wendy Archambeau's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Santee over Winnebago

Santee lost against Winnebago back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Santee Warriors took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winnebago Indians.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wendy Archambeau, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Archambeau a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%). Another player making a difference was Shelby Johnson, who posted eight points and 12 boards.

Santee's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Winnebago, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-14.

Santee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-53 victory against Stuart on the 18th. As for Winnebago, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-40 defeat against Wayne on the 17th.
