Basketball Recap: St. John's Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Francis Episcopal on December 10th, St. John came back down to earth. The St. John's Mavericks had to suffer through a 86-25 loss at the hands of the Glen Rose Tigers. The matchup marked the Mavericks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

St. John's moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Glen Rose, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

St. John's will head out on the road to challenge Westbury Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Glen Rose has already played their next contest, a 51-25 victory against Henderson on the 26th.
