Baseball Recap: Shorecrest Triumphs

Shorecrest lost to Nathan Hale back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Scots won by a run and slipped past the Raiders 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scots.

Shorecrest let Elyas Rojas and Quinn Burnham run wild. Rojas went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Burnham went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Burnham has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Shorecrest's record is now 11-5. As for Nathan Hale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shorecrest will challenge Mountlake Terrace at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nathan Hale, they will head out to take on West Seattle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Raiders 4.1, West Seattle 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
