Baseball Game Preview: Austin Panthers vs. Anthony Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers face off against the Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Austin is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Austin is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Parkland by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Anthony came into Tuesday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Irvin 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since May 3, 2024.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Anthony, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.

Austin might still be hurting after the 11-5 loss they got from Anthony when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Austin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
