The Reading Memorial Rockets will venture away from home to face off against the Lexington Minutemen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Reading Memorial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Reading Memorial easily dispatched Wilmington on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Rockets fell just short of Shawsheen Valley Tech by a score of 4-2 on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Rockets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Chase Williams was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Isaac Robinson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Lexington came up short against Wakefield Memorial on Friday, falling 9-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Minutemen in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Reading Memorial, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.

Reading Memorial was able to grind out a solid win over Lexington in their previous matchup back in April, winning 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
