Baseball Recap: University of Detroit Jesuit Takes a Loss

University of Detroit Jesuit was the 3-2 winner over St. Mary's Prep when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cubs took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eaglets on Wednesday. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sean McNally was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season. Patrick Scheible was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

University of Detroit Jesuit's record is now 2-11-1. As for St. Mary's Prep, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

While University of Detroit Jesuit had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
