Softball Recap: Thornwood Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Thornwood couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Lincoln-Way West Warriors on Wednesday, falling 16-1. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Thornwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cherish Pitts, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Thornwood's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Lincoln-Way West, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Thornwood nor Lincoln-Way West have any future games scheduled.
