Basketball Recap: Granville Takes a Loss

Granville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 52-37 bruising from the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave. While losing is never fun, the Golden Horde can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 584th in New York, while the Green Wave are ranked 39th in Vermont).

Granville's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Mt. St. Joseph Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Granville has already played their next game, a 91-43 defeat against Hartford Central on the 4th. Mt. St. Joseph Academy has also already played their next match (against Otter Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
