Football Recap: Linden Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games + How To Watch

Linden extended their postseason success on Friday against Summerville. They secured a 27-21 W over the Bears. The Lions pushed the score to 27-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears cut but never quite recovered from.

Linden got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Juarez out in front who rushed for 190 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Juarez was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was DeAndre Smith, who picked up 110 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Linden has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.6 points over those games. As for Summerville, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Linden will square off against Calaveras at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. The Red Hawks' defense has only allowed 8.5 points per game this season, so the Lions' offense will have their work cut out for them. Summerville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
