Softball Preview: Palisades Pirates vs. Northwestern Lehigh Tigers
Palisades is 1-9 against Northwestern Lehigh since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Pirates will host the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Palisades was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Saucon Valley on Monday. The Pirates never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Pirates have beaten the Panthers the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.
Karlye Teman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Brooklynn Lucas was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two doubles. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Rhiley Poniktera was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
