For the second straight game, Polk County will face off against Meigs County. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Polk County Wildcats face off against Meigs County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Polk County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Polk County and Meigs County meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell 9-4 to the Tigers.

Tanner Silvers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaden Branham, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The victory snapped Meigs County's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-3 record. As for Polk County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
