Lakeview put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Scotus Shamrocks 35-3. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Shamrocks are ranked 63rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brandon Deanda produced another solid effort rushing for 142 yards and two touchdowns. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Lakeview didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Scotus to a completion percentage of just 41.2%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Parker Osten and Nash Henk, who each logged one passes deflected. Lakeview hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.54 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Lakeview's defense didn't let Carson Wessel, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. Levi Hrouda was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Lakeview's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Scotus, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lakeview is set to challenge their familiar foe Pierce at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Scotus will take on rival O'Neill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Thomas Settje and Braxen Eichelberger.
