Recap: King's Academy Lions vs. Dillon Christian Warriors
The King's Academy Lions suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 75-50 walloping at the hands of Dillon Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for King's Academy in their matchups with Dillon Christian: they've now lost three in a row.
Dillon Christian was led to victory by Thompson Stone and Sean Locklear. Stone dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten assists, while Locklear scored 30 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Locklear has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Reese Bracey, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
King's Academy bumped their record down to 3-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Dillon Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King's Academy and Lee Academy will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Dillon Christian, they will be playing at home against Carolina Academy at 6:55 p.m. on Monday.
