After only two  runs in their last  match, Holmes County made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Destin  on Friday. The Blue Devils blew past the Sharks 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won nine games by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Bri Adams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run. That  home run was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jacee Bowers, who  fired off two  home runs and four  RBI while going 2-for-3. Those  two  home runs gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kiersten Womble, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base.
 Holmes County  lost a few balls and  finished the game with three  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.

The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9  runs per game  this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Destin, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Freeport  at 5:00  p.m. The Sharks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.7  runs per game this season.
