Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blue Valley Southwest). They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Life Prep Fire on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Blue Valley Southwest's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Life Prep are ranked 71st).

The win made it two in a row for Blue Valley Southwest and bumps their season record up to 6-3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two matches. As for Life Prep, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Blue Valley Southwest will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Shawnee Heights on the 16th. As for Life Prep, they will head out to take on Cair Paravel at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
