Two dominant backs in Devonis Lee and Kelby Glaze are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Early County Bobcats will be playing at home against the Lincoln County Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Early County sitting on three straight wins and Lincoln County on 13.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Lee and AB Hilton. Lee had a great game and rushed for 103 yards and two scores on only 14 carries. Meanwhile, Hilton was balling out in the loss, rushing for 143 yards and one TD.
Early County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kobe Lingo and K.J. Lindsey. Shayden Hall was another major factor on D, making 20 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Lincoln County really took it to Brooks County for the full four quarters, racking up a 52-16 win. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won 11 contests by 25 points or more so far this season.
Lincoln County's win came from a few key players Early County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aiden Jones, who rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 70 yards. Mekhi Wade was another key player, rushing for 40 yards and a pair of scores.
Lincoln County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 335 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 228 rushing yards in 12 consecutive matchups.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lincoln County's defense and their eight sacks. Jones and Jeremiah Wynn were the leaders of the group effort as each produced three apiece. Jeremiah Johnson has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last four times he's played. Lincoln County received some extra help from Glaze, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Lincoln County's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Early County, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Early County has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 297.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Lincoln County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 252.7 rushing yards.
