Basketball Recap: West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science Takes a Loss

West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science lost against Barry County Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science Eagles had to suffer through a 92-63 loss at the hands of the Barry County Christian Eagles. While losing is never fun, West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 479th, while Barry County Christian is ranked 196th).

West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science dropped their record down to 7-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Barry County Christian, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Looking ahead, West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science will be playing in front of their home fans against Grand River Prep at 7:00 p.m. on February 20th. As for Barry County Christian, they will take on Algoma Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
