The Fort Wayne North Side Legends will head out on the road to square off against the Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Fort Wayne North Side beat Fort Wayne Northrop 29-22. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Legends.

Tristen Newsome was his usual excellent self, rushing for 155 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.0 yards per carry, and also throwing for 200 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Maalik Moore was Newsome's top target, picking up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 294 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran only rushed for 32.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Dereon Carswell, Jarnard Moore, and Moore picked up one apiece.

Fort Wayne North Side now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, their record now sits at 4-1.
