Volleyball Recap: Auburndale Extends Winning Streak to Three

Auburndale had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Augusta Beavers.

Auburndale easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15.

Sidney Wolff paced Auburndale's offense, picking up seven kills. Wolff got some help from Jalynn Scherr and her nine assists. Scherr also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Chesney Nagel, racking up two apiece.

Auburndale's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Augusta, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Auburndale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Abbotsford on the 20th. As for Augusta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Blair-Taylor on the 22nd.
