Softball Preview: Crossroads Roadrunners vs. Oakwood Owls

The Crossroads Roadrunners will be playing at home against the Oakwood Owls at 3:00 p.m. Crossroads is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 13.1 runs per game this season.

Crossroads never got on the board in their matchup back in March, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Archer School for Girls on Tuesday. They skirted past the Panthers 16-15.

Jiselle Frerichs made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Frerichs was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-5.

In other batting news, Crossroads let Della Polk and Devyn Rogers loose on the outfield. Polk went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Rogers scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
