Baseball Game Preview: Palestine Wildcats vs. Bullard Panthers

For the second straight game, Palestine will face off against Bullard. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Palestine 3.5, Bullard 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

It was a proper cat-fight when Palestine duked it out with Bullard on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

For Bullard's part, Ty Rigsby was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Rigsby has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kage Korenek, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Bullard, bringing their record up to 21-7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Palestine, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7-1.
