Basketball Recap: Kadoka Kougars vs. Wall Eagles

After flying high against the Philip Scotties last Monday, the Kadoka Kougars came back down to earth. Kadoka was beaten by the Eagles 72-45 on Friday. Kadoka has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Wall got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nora Dinger out in front who scored 14 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Dinger is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rhea Tucker, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

Kadoka's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Wall, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kadoka will face off against the Falcons at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wall, they and the Irrigators will face off at 7:15 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Newell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Eagles are ranked 32nd).
