Volleyball Recap: Whitman-Hanson Regional Takes a Loss

Whitman-Hanson Regional was the 3-0 winner over Scituate when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Sailors on Wednesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whitman-Hanson Regional started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-19, 25-17, 25-20.

Brooke Steele paced Whitman-Hanson Regional's offense, picking up 13 kills. Steele got some help from Emily McNaught and her 14 assists. Leah Barnett controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Whitman-Hanson Regional's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Scituate, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whitman-Hanson Regional is set to take on their familiar foe Plymouth North at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Scituate will challenge rival Hanover at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
