Volleyball Recap: Maycie East Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Garces Memorial

Frontier won the last time they faced Garces Memorial and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Titans came out on top against the Rams by a score of 3-1.

Frontier had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-22, 29-27, 25-20.

Frontier's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maycie East led the charge by getting 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave East a new career-high. Laykinn Cash was another key player, getting 12 digs.

Frontier was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive matches.

When it comes to explaining why Garces Memorial lost, don't look at Abigail Menta. Despite the final result, she had eight digs.

Frontier has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season. As for Garces Memorial, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-8.
