Volleyball Recap: Indio Starts Season with Victory at Home

Indio took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They put the hurt on the Southwest EC Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Indio never let Southwest EC on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 25-16.

Anitzi Zarco had a dynamite game, getting 35 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Indio was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Coming up, Indio will challenge Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwest EC, they will face off against Montgomery at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
