Volleyball Game Preview: Arbor View Aggies vs. Centennial Bulldogs

The Arbor View Aggies are taking a road trip to face off against the Centennial Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Arbor View is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Arbor View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Desert Oasis, who was ranked 13th at the time (Arbor View was ranked fifth). The Aggies had just enough and edged out the Diamondbacks 3-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Aggies have posted since April 5th.

Arbor View wouldn't go down easily and took Desert Oasis into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-21, 22-25, 25-14, 15-12.

Sierra Vista typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Centennial proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mountain Lions.

While Centennial might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Sierra Vista scored at least 22 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 17-25, 29-27, 25-22.

Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-10 record this season. As for Arbor View, their record now sits at 20-16.

Arbor View couldn't quite get it done against Centennial when the teams last played back in April as they fell 2-0. Can the Aggies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
