Softball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fauquier Falcons. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 14-2 to the Falcons when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Fauquier, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Skyline is taking a road trip to face off against Meridian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fauquier, they will be playing at home against Briar Woods at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fauquier's pitchers better be ready for this one: Briar Woods has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
