Softball Recap: Hidden Valley's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Hidden Valley entered their tilt with Mazama on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Vikings 12-2. Considering the Mustangs have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Bailey Sandquist was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Mady Knable also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Hidden Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in nine consecutive games.

Hidden Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Mazama, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hidden Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Henley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mazama will face off against rival Klamath Union at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
