Recap: Greenville Christian Eagles vs. Lakehill Prep Warriors
This season hasn't been kind to the Greenville Christian Eagles, who are still winless after their fifth match. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 60-36 walloping at the hands of Lakehill Prep on Monday.
It was another big night for Drew Perry, who scored 26 points along with six assists and six rebounds for Lakehill Prep. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Perry has scored at least 25% of Lakehill Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Corder, who scored eight points.
Greenville Christian bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lakehill Prep, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenville Christian will finish 2023 at home by hosting Cornerstone Christian Academy at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th. Cornerstone Christian Academy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 6. As for Lakehill Prep, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Prestonwood Christian North at 3:30 p.m. on December 27th. Prestonwood Christian North presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lakehill Prep in Texas (Prestonwood Christian North is ranked 455th, while Lakehill Prep is ranked 1385th).
