On Tuesday Alexa Hooks struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). The effort marked the most strikeouts Hooks has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her third in a row with less than two walks. This year, she has an ERA of 4.65 over 99.3 innings pitched.

Hooks' strong effort led Concord over Robinson and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
