Football Recap: Southeast Beats Midwest City for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Southeast and Midwest City pushed the score to 47-13 the last time they played Midwest City, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Spartans walked away with a 19-8 victory over the Bombers. The win was just business as usual for the Spartans, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

The critical scores for Southeast came from Domingo Solis and Montre McGlugritch.

Southeast didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Midwest City to a completion percentage of just 40.7%. The team can thank Julien Woods for the heroic effort on defense: he. Southeast wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 54.5%.

Southeast's defense didn't let Valor Vaughan, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Damon Davis was especially locked on to Midwest City's QB and sacked him three times. Davis is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Midwest City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
