Soccer Game Preview: Atlas Preparatory School vs. Woodland Park

The Atlas Preparatory School Gryphons will head out on the road to challenge the Woodland Park Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Atlas Preparatory School put up the most goals they have all season on Tuesday. They never let Trinidad get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Atlas Preparatory School as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Woodland Park can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They put the hurt on Ellicott with a sharp 10-1 win. Considering Woodland Park's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Woodland Park picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-5-2. As for Atlas Preparatory School, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.

Atlas Preparatory School suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Woodland Park when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Gryphons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
