Football Recap: Ryan Moore's Menacing Defense Leads East Feliciana over Albany

East Feliciana's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 47-24 margin over the Albany Hornets. With the Tigers ahead 27-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

East Feliciana found their leader in sophomore Ryan Moore, who made seven total tackles and snagged two interceptions both of which were returned for touchdowns. Markus Cannon Jr was another key player, throwing for 279 yards and two TDs on only 19 passes.

East Feliciana was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

East Feliciana didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Moore. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 130 receiving yards per game. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

East Feliciana's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Albany, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Feliciana will face off against Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Albany, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Independence at 7:00 p.m.
