The Fairmont Firebirds will venture away from home to face off against the Loveland Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Fairmont will bounce into Saturday's match after beating Beavercreek, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Firebirds came out on top against the Beavers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.
While Fairmont might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Beavercreek scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 24-26, 25-20.

Noel Briones had a dynamite game, getting 26 digs and two aces. Those 26 digs gave her a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Loveland waltzed into their contest two weeks ago with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Eagles.
Loveland had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 27-29, 25-23, 25-18, 25-13.
Fairmont better keep an eye on Ella George. She was instrumental in Loveland's win, getting 46 digs and three assists. MaKenna Kirlin was another key player, getting 11 digs, three blocks, and two aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Loveland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive matchups.
Fairmont's record is now 9-14. As for Loveland, their record now sits at 19-3.

However, it's not like Loveland struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.1 aces.
