Softball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Klein Cain's Winning Streak

After flying high against Cypress Lakes on Thursday, Klein Cain came back down to earth. The Klein Cain Hurricanes came up short against the Friendswood Mustangs on Friday, falling 13-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Hurricanes were not able to get on the board.

With the defeat, Klein Cain broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-7. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing ten hits in those games compared to only five in the others. As for Friendswood, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Coincidentally, Klein Cain and Friendswood will both be playing Cypress Woods the next time they take the field. Klein Cain will head out to face Cypress Woods at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while Friendswood will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
