Volleyball Recap: Amplus Academy Comes Up Short

Amplus Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountain Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-11, 25-6.

Madisyn Bruschke paced Amplus Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Bruschke got some help from Jett Giannola and her seven assists.

Amplus Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Sierra Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Amplus Academy has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Desert Oasis on the 16th. As for Sierra Vista, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Spring Valley on the 16th.
