Baseball Recap: Salmon Comes Up Short

Salmon lost against Firth on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Savages came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-3. The Savages have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clayton Allen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Kesl Severe was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Salmon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Firth, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Salmon is set to challenge their familiar foe Challis at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Firth will take on rival West Jefferson at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
