Football Game Preview: Bellevue Redmen vs. Huron Tigers

The Bellevue Redmen will take on the Huron Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Bellevue came up short against Edison and fell 21-14. The Redmen haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Huron, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Port Clinton with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-21. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Redskins: they've now won four in a row.

Huron's win came from a few key players Bellevue will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Landon Hohler, who threw for 356 yards and three TDs while completing 80.8% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Those 356 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Braxton Barrett was Hohler's top target, picking up 155 receiving yards and one score.

Huron didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hohler and Caleb Staley. Staley got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Bellevue's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Huron, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.
