Recap: Lewis Angapak Blue Jays vs. Kongiganak Wolverines
The Lewis Angapak Blue Jays's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Kongiganak. Lewis Angapak was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kongiganak apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Jarrett Brown had a dynamite game for Kongiganak, scoring 33 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keon Fancyboy, who scored eight points.
Lewis Angapak's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Kongiganak, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-0.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Nelson Island the next time they take the court. Kongiganak will host Nelson Island at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lewis Angapak will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
