Basketball Recap: Martin County West Sets Scoring Season-High Against Nicollet

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Martin County West). They blew past the Nicollet Raiders 71-47 on Friday. The Mavericks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

The win made it two in a row for Martin County West and bumps their season record up to 8-1. As for Nicollet, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Martin County West will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Windom at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. Windom will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Martin County West surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nicollet, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Medford at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Nicollet is facing Medford at the right time seeing as Medford is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
