Port Huron Northern extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 5-14 in the process. They fell 4-1 to the Fraser Ramblers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ramblers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 on Wednesday.

As for Fraser, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games.

For Fraser's part, Jack Manzella was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits Manzella has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Frankie Cross, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Port Huron Northern will be playing in front of their home fans against Yale at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fraser, they are taking a road trip to take on Chippewa Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Big Reds will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Ramblers surely won't give up without a fight.
