Soccer Game Preview: Gilbert vs. Southeast Polk

The Gilbert Tigers will challenge the Southeast Polk Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southeast Polk took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Gilbert, who comes in off a win.

Gilbert took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Ballard get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Gilbert haven't had any issues with Ballard recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Southeast Polk fell victim to Woodward-Granger and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. That's two games in a row now that Southeast Polk have lost by exactly two goals.

Gilbert now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Southeast Polk, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
