Recap: Dillard Panthers vs. Western Wildcats
The Dillard Panthers were the 54-46 winner over the Western Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Dillard received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 73-56 to Western. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Western's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddox Fowles, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Fowles is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Andre Guerrier was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 6 rebounds.
Dillard's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Western, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Dillard will head out on the road to face off against Coral Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Western, they will square off against Dwyer at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Dwyer is ranked 70th, while Western is ranked 89th).
