Football Recap: Pineville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Thursday just wasn't the day for Pineville's offense. They were outmatched by the Ouachita Parish Lions and fell 56-0. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Lions are ranked 15th).

Carter Smith threw for 26 yards on three of 12 attempts. On the ground, Ayden Tate rushed for 42 yards and one score.

Montrell Conner had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 211 yards and five touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes, and also rushing for 35 yards for Ouachita Parish. Conner's passing game has become a key predictor of the Lions' success: the team is 5-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Seneca Battle, who picked up 88 receiving yards and three TDs.

Pineville is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6. As for Ouachita Parish, they moved to 6-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Pineville nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
