Volleyball Recap: Rosemount's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rosemount came into Saturday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Blaine Bengals on Saturday. The Irish have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bengals, too.

Rosemount was led to victory by Stella Garcia and Meredith Olsen. Garcia had nine digs and three assists, while Olsen had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces Olsen has posted over her last five matches. Ava Luken also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Rosemount's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Blaine, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Rosemount wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Washburn on the 13th. As for Blaine, they will head out to challenge Cambridge-Isanti at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
