Basketball Recap: Niwot Comes Up Short

Niwot lost against Centaurus back in February of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Niwot Cougars had to suffer through a 56-17 loss at the hands of the Centaurus Warriors. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ingrid Lorton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Centaurus, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Lorton continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Rose Pacheco, who posted 13 points and six steals.

Niwot dropped their record down to 9-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Centaurus, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-8.

Niwot will take on Mead at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mead will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Niwot surely won't give up without a fight. As for Centaurus, they will challenge Fairview at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
