Melrose-Mindoro waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Eleva-Strum Cardinals. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 4-1 win on Tuesday.

Melrose-Mindoro's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Eleva-Strum, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Melrose-Mindoro will face off against rival Independence/Gilmanton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 4, the Indees 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Eleva-Strum is set to challenge their familiar foe Osseo-Fairchild at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
